Auf dem Hof vErde ist immer einiges geboten. Aktuelle Informationen zu den Geschehnissen findet ihr auf unseren sozialen Medienkanälen. Dennoch bemühen wir uns, hier unsere Termine, die wir für das Jahr anbieten zu veröffentlichen.

Feldführung

Feldführungen über unseren Acker in Unterschöllenbach mit den Gemüse-Market-Garden-System und dem syntropischen Agroforst bieten wir an diversen Terminen an. Wir bitten euch um Anmeldung per Mail an info@hofverde.de. Die Führung dauert ca. 2 Stunden.

Hoffest

Wir starten in den erntereichen Teil unserer Saison mit euch auf unserem Hoffest am XX. Juni 2024. Ab 13:30 Uhr beginnt die Feldführung auf unserem Acker in Unterschöllenbach – ab 16 Uhr zum gemeinsamen Kaffee und Kuchen auf dem Hof in Kleinsendelbach.

Erntedankfest

Unser alljährliches Erntedankfest findet immer am ersten Sonntag im Oktober statt. 2025 wird das der 05.10.25 sein. Wir beginnen um 13:30 Uhr mit der Feldführung und laden Euch ab 16 Uhr zum gemeinsamen Feiern bei Kaffee und Kuchen auf den Hof in Kleinsendelbach ein.

Kartoffelernte

Jedes Jahr laden wir Euch ein, mit uns gemeinsam Kartoffeln zu ernten. Sobald der Termin bekannt ist, wird er hier veröffentlicht.

Mit der alten Schleuder werden die Kartoffeln Reihe für Reihe aus dem Boden gewirbelt und wir sammeln sie gemeinsam wie bei einer Schatzsuche auf. Für das leibliche Wohl haben wir eine Stärkung vorbereitet – lediglich Getränke, Handschuhe und wetterfeste Kleidung müssen mitgebracht werden. Aus logistischen Gründen möchten wir Euch um eine Anmeldung unter info@hofverde.de bitten. Wir freuen uns auf einen fleißigen Buddeltag!

Kurse

Der nächste Kurs zu syntropischen Agroforstsystemen wird vom 24.02. – 28.02.25 stattfinden. Nähere Informationen könnt ihr den folgenden Bildern entnehmen.

„For me, the Introduction to Syntropic Agroforesty course at Hof vErde with Filipe was both a life changing agroforestry course and a life-changing philosophy course. The impact of my learnings not only included a delightfully mind-blowing expansion on agroforestry techniques, but also went beyond these techniques & principles to impact my understanding of the flow of life, my function on this planet, and my species’ function on this planet.

The philosophy of syntropy offers instructions on how to cohesively mimic forest systems to rapidly regenerate top soil, produce rain, manage optimizers (pests), suppress unwanted plants, and continuously produce food and market crops. AND ALSO it offers a philosophy of how to be a version of human that chooses to take its place as a small, integral piece of a larger intelligent system based on principles of cooperation and unconditional love. This is a beautiful antidote to our culture’s obsession with Darwinian competition, individualism, and resource hoarding. This course gives instructions on how to be a species that works to fulfill our function of building and maintaining abundance in our greater ecosystem while including human and non-human species in a philosophy of sharing and cooperation.

Even with permaculture courses and other regenerative farming techniques I learned about before this, there was always a puzzle piece missing. The sheer amount of inputs needed, the pests we succumbed to or sprayed with organic pesticides, the endless weeding, the susceptibility to weather & climate change… all felt like we were still fighting against nature instead of working with it.

Syntropic agroforestry was the puzzle piece I was missing.

Advanced Syntropic Workshop: Managing a Syntropic Plot Over Time

Unlock the skills needed to successfully manage and evolve your syntropic agroforestry systems through all stages of growth. This advanced, hands-on workshop is designed for those with a foundational understanding of syntropic agriculture, offering in-depth knowledge and practice for guiding plantations across seasons and stages of maturity.

What You’ll Learn

• Selective Weeding & Pruning: Learn how to guide natural succession by managing spontaneous plants, optimizing plant density, and pruning effectively.
• Organic Matter Management: Use organic matter strategically to promote succession, support desired plants, and create soil health.
• Seasonal & Successional Strategies: Discover intervention techniques tailored to the age of your plantation and the time of year.
• Practical Planning & Execution: Develop confidence in reading your system, identifying priorities, and implementing a work plan.

Dates

The workshop will be held over the course of 2 separate sessions. The first session will be March 1st – 2nd 2025 and the second session will happen in June 14th and 15th 2025.

Workshop Structure

Day 1: Theoretical Foundations & Selective Weeding

• Morning:
  • Refresh your understanding of syntropic agriculture principles in the classroom, including natural succession, stratification, and energy flow in agroforestry systems.
  • Learn how to guide natural succession using selective weeding, understanding which plants to keep, prune, or remove.
• Afternoon:
  • Field practice in plots aged 29 and 17 months, focusing on inter-row management, selective weeding, and organizing organic matter to support succession.

Day 2: Density Management & Pruning Techniques

• Morning:
  • Understand pruning as a tool to create light, space, and fertility for each plant’s successional role.
  • Explore how to manage species density in multi-strata systems, balancing biomass and fruit production.
• Afternoon:
  • Hands-on pruning of biomass and fruit species, with supervised demonstrations and practical exercises.
  • Organic matter management to prepare the system for its next growth cycle.

Day 3: Fieldwork in Young Areas (3 Months to 1 Year)

• Morning:
  • Plan fieldwork by analyzing the system through observation on the field, identifying thriving and struggling elements.
  • Group discussions and work plans based on participant observations.
• Afternoon:
  • Execute the plan through selective weeding, pruning, and organic matter organization, guided by trainers.

Day 4: Fieldwork in Established Areas (2+ Years)

• Morning:
  • Advanced field reading to assess the system’s needs, with selective weeding and pruning focused on density and succession.
• Afternoon:
  • Utilize tools like shredders for organic matter processing.
  • Group discussion to share lessons learned, address challenges, and refine your management approach.

This workshop is designed for farmers, gardeners, and agroforestry enthusiasts who:

• Have completed the “Foundations & principles of Syntropic Farming” workshop.
• Have implemented or plan to establish syntropic systems and want to refine their management skills.

The workshop will be led by Felipe Amato, an experienced practitioner in syntropic agriculture, supported by Lilly Schmidtlein and the local team at Hof vErde.
